First time with a freelancer?
It’s pretty straightforward, promise.
Want to work together on a per-project basis? The process looks something like this:
1. We agree what bits of work you'd like me to do, along with a cost and a deadline, and where possible you provide me with any company-specific info I may need (I can research the rest).
2. I put together a first draft and send it over to you (usually as a Google Doc, but if you need it in an alternative format, just let me know).
3. Covered within the cost of the work, I'm happy to make two rounds of changes.
4. Once the final text is signed off, I'll send you an invoice.
Looking for a longer-term commitment? We can set up a retainer, which looks more like this:
1. We meet up, chat about your marketing goals, the outcomes you’d like to achieve, and how I can help.
2. I follow up the meeting with a proposed number of days per month, we get the paperwork sorted to protect us both, and agree a start date.
3. I take part in marketing meetings to get a rundown of what’s needed each month, or you can just send me over an outline of required work, along with suggested deadlines and relevant info from your side.
4. I do the work, send it over, and drop you an invoice at the end of each month (payment terms are negotiable).
Retainers run on a ‘use it or lose it’ basis, but I’ll give you a heads up if you’re not sending over enough work.
